Continental Breakfast, Classes and Lunch
The Day of Discovery is a unique opportunity for the JEWISH COMMUNITY to discover the richness and the diversity of Jewish learning available in Kansas City. Participants learn, study and “discover” some of the community’s finest Jewish educators, rabbis and cantors, who lead sessions on a wide range of topics. Over thirty classes will be offered throughout the day.

This event will be held from 8:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m., at the Jewish Community Campus on Sunday, August 25, 2019.

Registration and a continental breakfast take place from 8:45 – 9:30 a.m., study sessions begin at 9:30 and lunch will be served from 12:15 –1:20 p.m. An optional “lunch and learn” session will be offered during the lunch hour. A dessert reception with door prizes will conclude the day.

Registration for the event will begin in early August. Registration forms will be mailed in July. A listing of classes and information related to the day can be found the end of July at: www.kcrabbis.org. Space is limited and advance registration is required. Class and lunch payments must be received in advance; after the deadline registration fees increase and enrollment is open on a space-available basis.

The cost to participate in “Day of Discovery” is $22 per person, which includes classes, continental breakfast, a kosher box lunch and a dessert reception. Childcare is available for children 3 months to 8 years with advance reservations. Participants are asked to bring non-perishable food items for the Jewish Family Services Food Pantry High Holy Day food drive.

The program is co-sponsored by The Rabbinical Association of Greater Kansas City, Jewish Community Center, Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City, Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy, Village Shalom and area congregations. This program is funded by the Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City.
