Nearly 100 participants of all ages participated in the recent virtual community Purim day celebration. Participants enjoyed an engaging program that included songs led by local musician, Coleen Dieker and, a creative reading of the Megillah was led by Rabbis David Glickman, Larry Karol, Mark Levin, Beryl Padorr, Jonathan Rudnick and Linda Steigman. Over 200 Shalach Manot gift bags consisting of hamantashan, fruit, snacks, gragger and beads were distributed prior to the program. For those unable to pick up their bags, they were delivered by Efi Kamara and Shirley Unell and volunteers from the Jewish Family Services Spiritual Care team. The celebration was sponsored by the Rabbinical Association of Greater Kansas City in collaboration with Village Shalom and the Jkc Heritage Center and generously supported by the Flo Harris Supporting Foundation of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Kansas City.
